Privacy Policy

Plain-English summary: StoryBit Pro runs almost entirely in your own browser. We don't set tracking cookies, we don't run analytics or ads, and we don't have user accounts yet — so in most cases we never receive your information at all. The one exception is the AI features, described below.

Who we are

StoryBit Pro ("we", "us") operates the website storybitpro.com. You can contact us about privacy at hello@storybitpro.com.

What we collect — and what we don't

Your stories and settings are saved in your own browser's local storage, on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. Clearing your browser data will erase them, and they do not follow you between devices.
No tracking. We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies.
Email. If you email us to request access or ask a question, we receive whatever you send and use it only to respond.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may keep standard, short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service.

The AI features

Some tools — The Companion, The Analyzer, the Creative Coach, and AI Story Polish — send the text you write to Anthropic's Claude AI service to generate a response. This happens only when you actively use one of those tools. We do not store your text on our servers; it is passed to the AI service and the response is returned to your browser. Anthropic's handling of API data is described in Anthropic's privacy policy. Please don't include information in these tools that you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI service.

Payments

StoryBit Pro is currently in invite-only early access and does not process payments. If and when paid subscriptions launch, payment details will be handled by a dedicated payment processor and this policy will be updated first.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information and to object to certain processing. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be answered simply — but we will honor them either way. Email hello@storybitpro.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

StoryBit Pro is a professional tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
